My name is Ryan and I am a full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in the Army. I have been a proud member of the Military for almost 10 years. I have a beautiful wife whom I love and adore and we have been married for almost 4 wonderful years. She is keeps herself busy as an Independent Beachbody Coach and an RN. We currently reside in Evans, GA and we have 2 cats that keep us company when they aren't eating or napping.
I have always been athletic and interested in fitness. I was on the varsity wrestling team in high school, I've played baseball, played a little recreational soccer, snowboarding, running, and I've been lifting weights since I was about sixteen years-old. I've always been interested in the human body and how it can change and adapt depending on what your goals were. If you were training for a marathon, your body would know it needs to get lean and carry less weight. If you were training for a bodybuilding competition, your body would know it needed to pack on size in order lift tomorrow's heavy weight. The only thing it hasn't seemed to figure out is what to do with a sedentary life style and processed food. What we do know is that it likes to develop obesity, diabetes, and heart disease when you combine those two things.
Over the last few years, I was in school to get my Master's degree in Nurse Anesthesia. During that time I got to watch my body change, and it wasn't for the better. My scores on the Army Physical Fitness Test got worse, I felt weaker, and I was always tired. After 2.5 years of working hard and sleepless nights, I got my Masters degree and told myself that I would get back into shape. Well, round is a shape, right? For a year after school I was more active, but I still ate whatever I wanted and I spent a lot of time on the couch (you miss a lot of good TV when you're in school). After I saw a picture of myself after a run one day, I knew I needed a more drastic change. I realized I was at that age where I could no longer eat whatever I wanted and get away with it just because I was working out. That's when my wife introduced me to BeachBody.
I know some you out there have a similar story and want to make a change. If that sounds like you, don't hesitate to contact me. What've you got to lose?
